Charleston Boulevard Storm Drain project enters new phase with ongoing closures
Construction on Charleston Boulevard is moving into a new phase as it moves closer to completion.The new phase of the Charleston Boulevard Storm Drain Main Stre Construction on Charleston Boulevard is moving into a new phase of the Charleston Boulevard Storm Drain Main Street to Maryland Parkway Project, taking four weeks to complete. The closure of Commerce Street on the south side of Charleston Boulevard will restrict southbound travel. Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., with Charleston remaining open with one traffic lane in each direction. Commerce will remain a two-way street from California Avenue to Charleston to maintain business access. The intersection of Commerce and Charleston will remain closed to complete the paving work and reopen Commerce by Nov. 20. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.
