Raiders' Future With Kirk Cousins Could Take Surprising Twist
The Las Vegas Raiders' future with veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins could take a surprising twist moving forward. Rob Gronkowski's advice on the Raiders' quarterback situation has sparked speculation about Kirk Cousins' future beyond the Nov. 10 trade deadline, raising the possibility that his tenure could last longer than anticipated. Gronkowski argued that while Cousins is performing at a high level, a switch to first-round pick Fernando Mendoza should only occur if Cousins declines or Las Vegas falls out of playoff contention. The Raiders are currently 3-4 after four consecutive losses. Despite this, head coach Klint Kubiak confirmed that Cousins remains the starter for the upcoming game against the New York Jets. The team structured Cousins' deal with limited immediate salary and team options, creating flexibility to trade him or retain him without major long-term commitments.
