The low-cost Avelo Airlines is back with an exciting route: Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) to Las Vegas (LAS).

Here’s what you need to know about the route — and how to book it for your next vacation!

Avelo will fly between Burbank and Las Vegas 2x weekly on Fridays and Sundays beginning May 3.

Avelo will fly its Boeing Next Generation (NG) 737 aircraft on the route. The airline has a fleet of 16 737 Next Generation aircraft, which seats up to 147 passengers.

Avelo Chairman and CEO Andrew Levy noted that the airline received a “strong customer response” when it flew a special flight between Burbank and Las Vegas for the Super Bowl in February.

“As Avelo approaches the third anniversary of our first flight from BUR, we’re excited to make Vegas our 14th popular destination from L.A.’s most popular airport,” Levy said. “We look forward to offering travelers Avelo’s everyday affordability, convenience, and reliability between these two vibrant cities.”

Flights begin next month but are available on aveloair.com now, starting at $57 one-way. You must book by April 10 and travel by July 31 to be eligible for the promo fare.

Avelo keeps flight prices at record low prices by charging customers for ancillary purchases like seat selection and baggage. To avoid paying more at the airport, read up on the baggage fee policy ahead of your flight.

While the airline doesn’t have its own rewards program (yet), you can still earn points or miles when booking with a credit card to maximize flight purchases. Here are some of the best travel cards out right now:

Avelo appears to be all-in on Burbank as it launches its 14th route to Las Vegas. This is excellent news for travelers who have more options for cheap flights to the Sin City.

We look forward to Avelo expanding to more cities in the near future!
