Voters in Nevada’s 1st Congressional District will see a November rematch between incumbent Rep. Dina Titus, a Democrat seeking her seventh term in the U.S. House, and Republican Mark Robertson.

Titus, who has been in office since 2013, beat Robertson by nearly 13,000 votes out of 224,349 ballots cast in 2022.

The Associated Press late Tuesday declared Robertson the winner in the Republican primary. He had received 48% of the vote as of 9 a.m. today, according to the secretary of state.

Flemming Larsen was second with 39%.

The Associated Press also called the Republican race in Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District in favor of Drew Johnson, who earned 32% of the vote. Former State Treasurer Dan Stewart was sitting in second at 22%

“Tonight, we celebrate our victory, but we know the real challenge is ahead of us in November’s general election,” Johnson posted on X. “We will fight hard to earn the support of all voters throughout this district.”

Johnson will face incumbent Susie Lee, a Democrat, in a race for a seat the GOP is targeting to flip.

The National Republican Congressional Committee in March included the district — encompassing parts of Enterprise, Spring Valley and Summerlin — as one of 37 “prime pick-up opportunities.”

“I am honored to have the trust and confidence of Southern Nevada families and look forward to winning reelection to continue the fight for our fundamental rights and a strong future,” Lee posted on X. “This is about helping the hardworking families, seniors, and veterans in Southern Nevada.”

The seat held by U.S. Rep. Steven Horsford, a Democrat, in Nevada’s 1st Congressional District was also included on the GOP’s list to flip.

In the GOP primary for that seat, John Lee, a former Democrat who two years ago switched party affiliations, was leading David Flippo by about 800 votes as of 9 a.m. today. With mail ballots still being processed, the race has not been called.
