Las Vegas police engaged in a pursuit on foot on Thursday night, chasing a suspect on a scooter. Las Vegas police officers attempted to stop a man on a scooter near Las Vegas Blvd. and Reno as part of an investigation, but he fled on foot. The man resisted arrest and the patrol car began moving forward, causing it to roll over an officer's leg. The officer's injury was minor. Both officer and suspect are fine.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Las Vegas police engaged in a pursuit on foot on Thursday night, chasing a man on a scooter.

According to a preliminary report, just before 8 p.m. officers attempted to stop a man near Las Vegas Blvd. and Reno as part of an investigation. The man fled on a scooter and police followed on foot.

After catching up to the man, he resisted being arrested, according to LVMPD. Additional officers responded to assist.

One pulled up close to the officers struggling with the suspect. As he exited his vehicle, the patrol car continued to move forward, rolling over an officer’s leg.

Police said that “the officer and suspect are fine.” The officer’s injury is minor.
