LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A sports Artificial-Intelligence company is looking to build an athlete campus in Las Vegas.

Z Athlete Factory said it plans to move from Scottsdale, AZ to Las Vegas pending construction of it’s new headquarters, called the Z Athlete Village. The village is described as a hub for “athletic training, sports performance and events for competition,” according to CEO Zig Ziegler. The project is estimated at $1.2 billion and hopes to be completed over four years, aiming for completion ahead of the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

“Upon opening, Z Athlete Village and its venues will change the landscape of sports in Las Vegas, paving the way to expand the portfolio of sports programming that the destination can host,” said Lisa Motley, vice president of sports and special events for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), in a statement. “We’re excited to help make this campus a reality.”

The company said it’s been working on moving its headquarters since the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Las Vegas emerged as the top choice due to the city’s ambitious goal of transforming into the premier sports destination in the world,” a news release said.

Z Athlete Factory said it has identified two potential locations for their complex in the Las Vegas Valley and said they expect to be under contract within 30 days. The company has not identified those potential locations.

“We believe that Z Athlete Village will redefine the way athletes live, train, and compete,” added Ziegler. “By combining cutting-edge technology with world-class facilities, we aim to empower athletes to reach their full potential. Our innovative A.I. technology gives coaches the tools to help athletes maximize their results.”

According to the Z Athlete Village website, they plan to break ground on the property in December 2024 with hosting their first event in November 2026.
