The storm system off the southern California coast is moving inland, sending waves of clouds and rain inland. Las Vegas recorded no rain on Wednesday, but bands of strong storms dropped upwards of half an inch of rain in northeast Clark county, including Mesquite and other small towns in the area. The forecast for Thursday is expected to remain largely dry, with a steady wind and low temperatures. The system may linger over northern and central Arizona tomorrow, but Friday will see a drying pattern.
