$13.9M Sloan Lane extension opens, connecting East Valley communities The $13.9 million Sloan Lane extension project in Las Vegas has been completed, connecting communities in the East Valley. The project began in September 2025 to connect Ruby Creek Drive to Vegas Valley Drive by extending Sloan Lane over the Las Vegas wash with a new bridge. It also includes updates to the pavement, curbs and streetlights, new signage and pavement markings. However, some residents expressed mixed reactions to the new bridge, believing it would save them over a mile of driving and quiet the area.
